Slime King: Origins
Slime King: Origins is a fast-paced RPG-bullet hell hybrid that I developed solo in just one month for the 2024 RPG Game Jam—where it won first place! The game follows a dethroned king who has been cursed into the form of a slime, forced to battle through his own castle to reclaim his throne.
From programming and game design to art and music, I handled every aspect of development, ensuring a cohesive vision and polished experience within the jam’s tight timeframe. Winning the competition was a rewarding recognition of the work I put in, and I’m excited to keep building on the ideas explored in this project.
Pathfinder 2e: Age of Discord
Age of Discord is a homebrew Pathfinder 2nd Edition campaign I devised and am currently running! It is the culmination of my love for tabletop roleplaying games, collaborative storytelling, and tactical combat!
For thousands of years, the Elyrian Empire, now known simply as "the old empire" controlled the continent of Ossa'dorei. The old empire solidified its power through zealous indoctrination and a strict control of magic. This method necessitated the alienation of what the empire called “lesser races''; populations of sentient species who possessed natural magic, worshiped unsanctioned deities, or were otherwise difficult to assimilate. In time, this alienation became the empire’s undoing.
Hundreds of years after the fall of the old empire, the continent is home to a great diversity of peoples, faiths and ideologies. Sure, roads between cities are no longer patrolled, the coasts are plagued by pirates and petty nobles wage warfare over the smallest of squabbles, but that is the price of freedom. Obviously, not everyone is happy. There are whispers of those who still work in the shadows for the return of the Elyrian Empire. It would be an inconvenient time for ancient, powerful, long suppressed magic to re-emerge.
Tokyo Takeover
Tokyo Takeover is a third person single-player stealth horror game where you play as a group of teen survivors attempting to escape a shopping mall overrun by blind vampirical mutants. Don’t make a sound! Sneak around a desolate neon landscape, loot abandoned stores, create diversions, and rescue party members.
This was my final project, and a culmination of what I learned at VFS. I had the opportunity to work in a team and go through each step of production of a game. I got to play various roles throughout production, including leading team meetings, designing levels, animating the quadruped enemies, and casting actors!
